Experiencing jerking, slipping gears, or transmission warning lights?

Your DSG gearbox could be trying to tell you something.

This VW Tiguan is currently in our workshop for DSG box repairs, where our team is diagnosing and repairing the system using the correct equipment and procedures.

Modern transmissions are complex but with the right tools and expertise, many issues can be identified and repaired before they become bigger problems.

That’s why vehicle owners from across Mbombela trust us with their gearbox repairs.

Your vehicle’s badge doesn’t determine the quality of service it receives.

Whether it’s a Renault Duster, a family SUV, a workhorse bakkie, or a luxury sedan, every vehicle that enters our workshop receives the same professional care and attention.

Our technicians work across multiple brands and vehicle types, allowing us to provide servicing and repairs for a broad range of customers throughout Mbombela.

This Duster is in for a service today. Tomorrow it could be a Ford, Toyota, Opel, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz.

That’s the advantage of choosing a workshop with experience across multiple manufacturers.

Would you trust an engine rebuild without a final inspection? Neither would we.

This Toyota Hilux 3.0 D4D has reached the final stages of its repair but before it leaves our workshop, Marco performs a thorough inspection of the entire engine bay.

Fluid levels are checked, connections are verified and every component is inspected for signs of leaks or issues that could affect reliability.

The rebuild may be complete but quality control is what gives us confidence in the finished result.

Because the goal isn’t just to get the engine running. It’s to make sure it stays running properly.

What does a healthy diesel pump sound like?

To us, the test bench tells a story.

It shows whether the pump is delivering the correct fuel quantity, operating within specification and performing as it should before being returned to service.

This stage allows us to identify issues before the pump ever goes back onto the vehicle, saving time and preventing costly repeat failures.

Testing first. Fitting later.

Hundreds of parts. One finished engine.

Rebuilding a truck engine is about far more than replacing damaged components.

Every bearing, seal, gasket, fastener and rotating component must work together exactly as intended. One measurement out of tolerance can affect the entire engine.

This MAN Common Rail diesel engine has been rebuilt from the crankshaft up, with every stage completed, checked and verified before moving to the next.

The finished product is only possible because of the work that happens behind the scenes.

Wondering who keeps customers updated throughout the repair process?

Meet Chantelle.

While our technicians are busy in the workshop, Chantelle is the bridge between the workshop and our customers. From booking vehicles in and providing progress updates to answering questions and coordinating repairs, she’s often the first voice you hear and the person keeping you informed every step of the way.

Vehicle repairs can be stressful. Good communication shouldn’t be.

What happens when an engine cylinder is too worn to reuse?

You don’t simply install new pistons and hope for the best.

The cylinder bore must first be machined to an exact size using a cylinder boring machine. This removes wear, scoring and imperfections while preparing the block for oversized pistons and final honing.

It’s one of the most important stages in the rebuilding process and one that directly affects engine performance, oil consumption, and longevity.

This is where engine life begins.

Before new pistons and rings can be installed, the cylinder walls need to be honed to the correct finish and specification.

Here, Oom Oskar and Henco are using our Sunnen honing machine to create the precise surface needed for proper ring sealing, oil control, and long-term reliability.

It’s one of those processes most people never see, but every quality engine rebuild depends on it.

Anyone can machine a component. The real question is: does it measure correctly afterwards?

Following the line drilling process, Oom Oskar carefully checks the dimensions of the engine block to ensure everything is within the required tolerances.

Measurements like these determine whether an engine will operate smoothly for years to come or develop problems down the road.

It’s a process most vehicle owners never see, but it’s one of the most important steps in a quality engine rebuild.

Precision matters long before the engine starts for the first time.

Here, Oom Oskar is line drilling an engine block after repair work was completed.

The purpose of the process is to make sure the crankshaft bearing tunnels are perfectly aligned and machined to specification again.

Without this step, the engine could suffer from premature bearing failure and internal damage.

It’s one of those critical behind-the-scenes processes that most people never get to see.
