Ramdaz are a South African Indie pop duo consisting of brothers Vikshay and Vishekh from the small town of Ladysmith (KZN). Formed in late 2016, the duo have already achieved great success in their home country with more on the horizon. n the country – Just Music South Africa (the RSA home to artists such as Adele, Matthew Mole, Bon Iver, the xx, Wonderboom etc.)Their debut single ‘Let Me In” was released soon after, debuting on both the Apple Music and Itunes Top 100 Charts in South Africa as well as getting radio play all over the country whilst also gathering over 20000 streams. The brother pair released their second single ‘Lost” in early December 2017, with them pushing even deeper, experimenting in the pop/dance/electronic arena. ‘Lost’ got its first major Radio play on East Coast Radio where the duo have started making a name for themselves, having been given the opportunity to do the official remix of East Coast Radio’s Breakfast show’s parody song - ‘Going To Nkandla’. After a year and a half ‘break’ from the music industry Ramdaz released their anticipated return single ‘Come With Me’ in late 2019, which after seemingly levelling up, Was their best work ‘til date. ‘Come With Me’ soon became a radio hit, Charting over 11 weeks on some of South Africa’s biggest radio stations. The People Magazine dubbed “Summer Anthem” even beat the likes of international heavyweights like Marron 5, Noah Cyrus and Milky Chance in becoming the #HotHit on Jacaranda FM. The duo also played a part in Singer/Songwriter – Bianca Blanc’s Deezer Next Session EP doing a tropical house spin on her song ‘Good Vibes’. As well as being part of the inaugural Joox Live Artist program during the 2020 COVID 19 Pandemic where their live streamed shows were praised for being some of the best sounding by industry professionals. Ramdaz’ sound has been described as ‘pop tinged prowess swaying in monochrome whilst simultaneously exploring the past and the future. This is more relevant now than ever with the duo releasing what is tipped to be their best work yet in the form of their new Nu-Disco infused banger – “Won’t You” - Out 9 October 2020). Which includes a visual experience in the form of a lyric video, depicting an encompassing narrative from the future of space travel. With the duo making such an impact in such a short space of time and more music on the way, you can only expect great music and big things to come from Ramdaz in the near future.
