Corrupting The Word Of God( P1)

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
— 2 Corinthians 2:17

The apostle Paul is here exhorting the Corinthians concerning them as ministers. He says, "we,"( him and his fellow ministers) are not like many who corrupt the word of God.
The word "corrupt," means "to make a trade, make merchandise of, or a huckster."

You see that there is trade making, merchandising and huckster that can be carried out by and through the word of God.
Paul was saying, they're not such ministers.

There's a need for every prophet and minister to avoid by all means the temptation of trade making, merchandising and being a huckster of the prophetic gift and ministry.

A prophet should be a sincere person, not a merchant man.
A prophet should not bend or twist the Word of God to fit his experiences.
A prophet should not subject the Word of God to his spiritual experiences.
However, he must subject his experiences to the Word.
A prophet should not use the Word or his gifts for merchandising or trading purposes, but only for Kingdom agenda.
