To rehome these horses is NOT an option, as most of them are in their late teens and twenties and the trauma that they would be subjected to would be unbearable. I tried to lease out a few of them, but sadly none of these worked out, and two of them came back in such poor condition I promised never to do this to them again. We are have now a registered NPO and it is our intention to care for these horses until the time comes that they cross over the rainbow bridge. We also have a number of rescue dogs and chickens from township areas, who are now living happily at our centre, the dogs now part of my family in my home.
