These clear and simple words point us to the source of all life: THE Living Water, whose nourishment enables us to be fruitful. When we find ourselves striving and stressed, it's a sure sign that we need to re-connect to the Vine. There's no shame in coming to God with our need. He has designed things to be that way so that our relationship with Him should flourish, and the fruit is the outcome of that.

"Fruit" should not be our aim, but knowing God - knowing that He takes care of all the details that so easily overwhelm.
