Most things now feel generated. This piece, written last week before Rob Reiner’s death, is lovingly about the kind of work that makes us believe. The kind of film, art, and marketing that becomes part of us from Spinal Tap to Taco Bell”s Liberty Bell and A24’s The Drama Release.

(It’s been a tough week with Bondi, Brown, and the loss of a beloved director. Don’t stop creating. For makers and do’ers this is our salvation and duty.
