Honoring a father, musician, and spiritual leader who blessed and created the foundation of roots, rock, Rastafari reggae music. 👑 ^ 🙌🏿 🪘The legacy he created inspired millions…he showed reggae music and the Rastafari trod to the world by his famous movie ‘Rockers’. He is the original stepping razor, the original rude boy. So many drummers walk in his image and footsteps and were influenced by his sounds and unique drumming style and patterns. His knowledge and experience as an alpha boys trained musician and deep knowledge of kumina African drumming provides an incredibly rich experience while he is on the throne.
// Pictured here. A blessed gathering with family and friends for his birthday celebration at and I house some time ago. He spent over three weeks with us and the family…reasoning about music, life, culture, family, telling stories, burning herbs, chalice, cooking “revolutionary food” in the kitchen, and cutting tracks in the studio. The support and love everyone showed to him this day was blessed and heartfelt! Sound system and Nyabinghi drumming overlooking the misty Sierra Nevada mountains, and even cake lol… he even drop a tear as we sang happy birthday, realizing all the ones who showed up and the massive love we gave him that day. Give thanks Horsemouth and look forward to spend more time same way.
