“Scout” my debut full length album will be out next Friday, October 24.

Scout was a nickname of mine growing up that I asked my family to call me due to “How to Kill a Mockingbird.” My grandma first called out the similarities I had to the fictional character, Jean Louise ‘Scout’ Finch, in the book. Though I was too young to fully grasp the novel’s key themes, I deeply resonated with Scout’s desires to dress, act like, and play with the boys. It was the first piece of media that I found a character like myself in.

This album is about the trials and tribulations of my childhood and my journey with my q***r identity, which has been a lot of not knowing what I am, but learning what I’m not. As I continue to figure out what feels right to me each and every day, these songs have been my way of making sense of it all.
