The American Society of Civil Engineers with the collaboration of the Ravi Urban Development Authority held a successful seminar on October 21st, 2022. Such seminars help the students get hands-on information about the projects undergoing around them in the industry and get insights and advice from the people working in the industry.
The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) is an authority that intends to develop the urban areas around the Ravi River into a city for the ever-growing growth of Punjab, especially Lahore.
The first hour consisted of the Director providing a general introduction of RUDA, after which a Q&A session took place between the attendees and the Board of Engineers and Guests.
This specific seminar helped the students realize the growth of the city that they currently reside in, and the projects taking place to help support that immense and rapid growth. This helps understand the need, importance and the background of this project which is urbanizing the banks of Ravi.

An educational visit was arranged by ASCE NUCES to KHANKI BARRAGE on Saturday 5th MARCH 2022.
This visit was arranged to enable the students to understand the basics of barrage and its components and give them a visual experience of the working of a barrage.
