Je rembobine au moment où je stocke le bureau dans mon atelier. J’ai très envie de le retaper mais le pedigree de l’animal m’impressionne : c’est une creation de l’architecte et designer Herbert Hirche, figure du Bauhaus et élève puis assistant de Mies van der Rohe. Le gars a même un timbre à son nom…

Voilà que je me retrouve avec, sur les bras, une pièce culte du Bauhaus de la fin des années 50. Dans un état lamentable, noyé sous des couches de peinture noire qu’il va falloir retirer, alors que mon truc c’est plutôt de les peindre, les meubles.

Sans parler des trous dans le contreplaqué en teak, des coins qui ont morflé, du piètement en métal également à restaurer…

Je le sentais moyen, mais 5 ans plus t**d faut croire que j’ai pris la confiance 😅

[FOR SALE] Cute child chair entirely dismantled, sanded,fixed and painted in Oval blue room. The wooden parts have been white washed and waxed for an aged look. Massive beech. Small price :)
Measurements: sit is 46 cm high and 38x38 cm. Total high with the back is 81.

The door is still under construction but this little cupboard literally came back from the dead and will soon be ready to live a new life.

I’ve finally decided to leave the top in bare wood (after a whitewash and some poly for protection). The handles are metal painted in black, a bit shabby but original and I love the touch of contrast ✨

Working at the moment on this cute little piece of furniture that has no top and is in very bad shape. It would be very handy in a corridor, a small corner or even as a nightstand. Could be used to hide the internet box too. Let me know if you want it in your colors, otherwise I’ll just improvise as always :) ✨
