REFLEXION: CUANTAS VECES HE QUERIDO

El evangelio este día obliga a preguntarnos si estamos del lado de Jesús o del poder representado por Herodes. Jesús como profeta sana, expulsa demonios de toda clase, alimenta a quienes tienen hambre y predica la novedad del reino de Dios. Herodes representa el poder terrenal que intenta callar la voz profética que anuncia justicia, paz y bienestar para todos/as. La gente de Jerusalén como la de ahora, no quiso escuchar ni dejarse abrazar por el reino propuesto por Jesús. Una reflexión profunda nos permite decidir entre apoyar la vida o la muerte. ¿Qué dice su corazón?

The gospel today forces us to ask ourselves if we are on the side of Jesus or of the power represented by Herod. Jesus as a prophet heals, casts out demons of all kinds, feeds the hungry, and preaches the newness of the kingdom of God. Herod represents the earthly power that tries to silence the prophetic voice that announces justice, peace and well-being for all. The people of Jerusalem, like those of today, did not want to listen or allow themselves to be embraced by the kingdom proposed by Jesus. A deep reflection allows us to decide between supporting life in Jesus or death by following Herod’s false proposal. What does your heart say?

PARA MEDITAR: Mateo 11:25-30 (15/10/24)

REFLEXION: YO LES DOY DESCANSO.

El evangelio este día nos recuerda que Jesús nos continúa invitando a poner todas nuestras cargas sobre El. El descanso que nos ofrece es real y restaurativo. En este mundo tan ajetreado el cansancio invade toda la integridad de nuestro ser. Confiemos en su invitación generosa, acerquémonos con fe, unámonos a El y nuestros corazones serán refrescados con su presencia y cuidado perfecto. ¿Qué dice su corazón?

REFLECTION: I GIVE YOU REST.

The gospel today reminds us that Jesus continues to be inviting us to lay all our burdens on Him. The rest Jesus offers us is real and restorative. In this busy world, tiredness invades the entire integrity of our being. Let us trust in His generous invitation, draw near the Lord in faith, unite with Him, and our hearts will be refreshed by His presence and perfect care. What does your heart say?
