These leaching prior states of identity keep trying to appease me with their temptation of comfort and fleeting self indulgence. “Oh you must do this my way or you will be nothing.” I can feel my spirit yelling and screaming do not listen. This new self scraping and battering the inside of my rib cage. Desiring nothing else but to see the sunrise for itself. Untested and unknown they are push down. Just a little goldfish in a jar. I am the fish and the owner. Living my life behind glass.
Anyyyywaysss…. Here is a portrait I did today. Done in procreate using mostly just the “eagle hawk” pencil.

Wanted to challenge myself to do some timed drawing. Both these are under 2 hours. The first one is pretty sketchy but I kind of really like the movement and rawness of it. Switching to digital I get this need to plan and be super refined. So it’s nice to feel that I can still do some big emotion lines. Also it’s really hard to know when to stop. The time limit is helpful. The second one is basically stick figures. But I liked the idea and the car design. I may go back in later and do do the composition again with full characters.

Thanks again for everyone sticking with me in these changes! It’s been so fulfilling. Also, new website almost done. Going be finally releasing prints when it launches!
