Traza moves through different scales with the same sculptural language, where solid limestone is cut, hollowed and refined until it becomes atmosphere.

Each piece preserves the memory of the block, transforming matter into presence, light and ritual.

Bañera, lavabo, volumen y lámpara colgante.
Traza recorre distintas escalas desde un mismo lenguaje escultórico, donde la piedra caliza ma**za se corta, se vacía y se depura hasta convertirse en atmósfera.

Cada pieza conserva la memoria del bloque, transformando la materia en presencia, luz y ritual.

Riurau House

The name Riurau comes from the traditional architecture of Marina Alta, where open arches allowed air to move while filtering sun and rain. In Riurau House, that memory is abstracted into a sequence of porticoes that shape the façade, frame the horizon and turn Mediterranean heritage into contemporary space.

El nombre de Casa Riurau nace de la arquitectura tradicional de la Marina Alta, donde los arcos abiertos permitían el paso del aire mientras protegían del sol y la lluvia. En la vivienda, esa memoria se abstrae en una secuencia de pórticos que construyen la fachada, enmarcan el horizonte y transforman la herencia mediterránea en espacio contemporáneo.

Las Cigarreras Industrial Complex

The intervention engages with the memory of the former to***co factory without fixing it in time. Matter, structure, and void are reinterpreted through new uses, allowing the industrial heritage of Las Cigarreras to become an active part of Alicante’s contemporary life.

La intervención trabaja con la memoria de la antigua fábrica de tabacos sin detenerla en el tiempo. La materia, la estructura y el vacío se reinterpretan a través de nuevos usos, permitiendo que el patrimonio industrial de Las Cigarreras vuelva a formar parte activa de la vida contemporánea de Alicante.

Traza begins before the object, in the weight of the raw block. Its form does not emerge through addition, but through removal: carving, emptying, refining.

What remains is limestone in tension between two states: the controlled geometry of architecture and the irregular texture of the stone’s origin.

Traza comienza antes del objeto, en el peso del bloque en bruto. Su forma no nace por adición, sino por retirada: tallar, vaciar, depurar.

Lo que permanece es una piedra caliza suspendida entre dos estados: la geometría contenida de la arquitectura y la textura irregular de su origen mineral.
