Hello again family and the word at large, it's me again Shil Woods AKA Exclaimed. Last month on 28th I dropped a two song EP titled "COTTON CANDY".

I be true and real to say that my music journey has never been easy and not many people take the music I do as something worth a listen.

Gladly, I would like to announce that the project is my first to have over 200 listeners in a month with a gross total streams of over a 1000 streams on its first month.

I would have not achieved this without y'all's support and love to go stream and adding them songs on your playlists, Y'all did me a solid. Y'all cementing the crack of doubt that has affected my creative ability, making me to to see more than black and white and also make me open to more cultural based themes apart from the common catchy and hyper songs.

Being a Malawian citizen and trying to blend in my national pride, culture, trends and social economic struggle with the use of vernacular delivery has proven not many people from Malawi really enjoy and relate the themes I tap into.

As such, I would like to say that I won't focus more on making music aimed on the Malawian audience. In my next post, I'll share the stats from my Spotify to really make a point that it's more listeners from the USA that are vibing with me than my own country men.

I am a proud Malawian, but for my success in this industry, I have to focus more on making music that will impress and be relatable to this new market abroad. Hope this all is God's plan
