📍SunChips bd
Found this new item by Sun Chips on foodpanda while ordering some groceries for my house. The packaging instantly caught my eye & honestly, the taste reminded me of those imported peanuts we usually pay a much higher price for.
The nuts were fresh, crunchy & had a nice balance of salty with a slight sweetness. However, I wouldn’t really call it spicy at all despite what they claim.
Overall, I really enjoyed it & will definitely reorder again. I just hope they introduce more flavors in the future and most importantly, make the flavors actually taste like what they claim.
💰Price: 150tk

📍Tiny Ville
Alhamdulillah, my son just turned 8 & we arranged a small birthday party for him at Tiny Ville. Along with the kids, their mothers joined too & honestly, we all had such a great time.
The kids had an absolute blast playing different games like the ball house, hide & seek and more. For each type of activity, we had to pay 500tk & socks are mandatory there, otherwise you need to purchase them from the venue.
They also enjoyed basketball, car racing, catch me & several arcade-style games where coins are needed separately. I bought a bundle of 20 coins for 900tk & ended up purchasing 4 bundles in total because the kids were TOO excited to stop playing. Most games required 2 coins each.
NOW ABOUT THE FOOD:
Honestly, I didn’t expect much from the food since it’s mainly a kids’ play zone rather than a restaurant but I was completely wrong.
🍕Beef Bolognese Pizza: 1295tk (12 inch)
This had a perfectly thin crust & was generously loaded with cheese. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve had lately. I initially ordered it for the mothers but the kids attacked it first & finished almost everything, so I had to order another one.
🍗Crispy Fried Chicken Strips: 455tk
This was mainly for the kids. It came with 3 big pieces of boneless chicken strips along with fries. The kids loved it & honestly, so did we mothers because once they couldn’t finish, we happily took over.
🥟Chicken Momo (6pcs): 455tk
Another surprisingly good item. The stuffing was decent & I loved the hint of lemongrass in it. They have two variations & I chose the steamed one.
🥢Thai Mix Sharing Appetizers: 685tk (1:3)
This platter included Spring Rolls, Onion Rings, Chicken Wings, Wontons, Crispy Fried Kangkong (Water Spinach), 2 dips & some salad. Everything was super addictive & we literally couldn’t stop munching on it throughout the evening.
Need to mention i personally did the decoration part alone at home later brought it to the venue where a guy helped me to tape the balloons & other stuffs. Overall, we all had such a lovely experience & will definitely revisit again even without any special occasion. Sometimes, making a child happy with a fun little day out is enough especially in this concrete city where safe outdoor spaces for kids are becoming rare.

📍Thai Food Factory
My friend recently shifted to Bashundhara Residential Area, and since we weren’t very familiar with the restaurant scene here beyond the usual popular spots, I decided to explore this place after finding it online. Located inside the beautiful Bismillah Plaza in Bashundhara R/A, the restaurant definitely stands out for its stunning ambiance. Here’s what we ordered:
🧋 Thai Iced Tea– 305tk
I loved that it was decently sweet. I’d never seen whipped cream on top of Thai iced tea before, so that was definitely surprising, though thankfully it didn’t taste bad at all. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
🍜 Pad Thai (Prawn 1:3)– 795tk
Unfortunately, this was too saucy unlike authentic Pad Thai, which is usually on the drier side. The excessive sauce made it overly salty, so this one was a miss for me.
🍚 Khao Pad G*i (Chicken Fried Rice, 1:1)– 255tk
This tasted good and paired really well with our curry. I also loved that they offer a smaller portion option for one person.
🍛 Kaeng Phet Chicken Red Curry – 695tk
Pretty flavorful, and I especially loved the gravy. Since it’s a coconut milk-based curry, the rich, saucy texture really made the dish stand out. We asked for it to be less spicy, and they followed our request perfectly.
Overall:
The interior of this restaurant is absolutely stunning & it gives major lantern festival vibes and feels dreamy and magical. While the ambiance is a huge win, they definitely need to work more on improving the food quality to match the beautiful setting.

📍Uppercrust
I’ve visited this restaurant countless times because of their food quality and ambience, even though their service can be inconsistent. Today, I’m sharing my review of some of my go-to items from here except for the salad.
ICE MOCHA (DARK)– 450tk
It was served in a short chai style glass instead of a tall glass, which honestly surprised me. I wouldn’t call it the best iced mocha rather it was more of a basic one. I requested a blended iced version, but they usually serve it with ice cubes.
ROAST BEEF CARAMELIZED ONION– 700tk
This is an absolute showstopper for me and one item I never skip ordering. It’s served on a crusty, toasted ciabatta bun, which makes the sandwich taste even better. The amount of beef is satisfying, and with cucumber, yellow mustard, and the overall combination, it’s pretty filling and makes for a perfect meal.
JERK CHICKEN SANDWICH– 750tk
This was my sister’s order. A freshly toasted ciabatta sandwich loaded with jerk chicken, melted sliced cheese, red cabbage, pickled gherkin, lettuce, and sriracha mayo sauce. It was delicious, and the combination of veggies, chicken, cheese, and sauce complemented each other really well.
GRILLED CHEESE SHRIMP SALAD – 950tk
If you’re on a diet or looking for something healthy, this could be a great option. It comes with poached shrimp, grilled cheese, romaine lettuce, rocket leaves, cucumber, pomegranate, lemon dressing, and yogurt dressing. They also serve butter and toasted ciabatta bread alongside it. The shrimp were very fresh, and as a cheese and shrimp lover, I genuinely enjoyed it even though it wasn’t my order.
BASQUE CHEESECAKE– 800tk
Another personal favorite and easily one of the best cheesecakes in town. It’s incredibly creamy, rich, and so good that you honestly won’t want to share though the portion size is generous enough to do so.
Even though I truly love their food, I feel some of their staff need better training regarding proper serving etiquette especially something as basic as which spoon to serve with which dish. When a restaurant is located in an area like Gulshan and you’re paying for a premium experience, good service matters just as much as good food. Overall, the experience is about both.

📍Time Out
This is one of my most favorite nachos spots in town, and also one of my favorite restaurants overall. Time Out is an OG place in Dhaka that has been operating for 26 years. Even though I don’t get the chance to visit as often as I used to because of my busy life, my love for Time Out will always remain the same. Sharing one of my all-time favorite items from them.
Beef Cheese Nachos: 815tk
Served with perfectly fried nachos, minced beef, olives, tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and more. It’s a perfectly delicious sharable platter for two that may seem simple, but tastes absolutely amazing. I personally don’t enjoy nachos drenched in so-called mayo and sauce, so if you prefer simple, flavorful nachos like I do, I’d definitely recommend trying this. Even though the price range is a bit high, it’s worth it for the taste.
