Updating our nonprofit story on our website, can't believe it's been 12 years! Here it is:

SoundMind Project is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2010 with a focus on integrative medicine and sound healing for health and wellness. We have a particular focus on underserved and marginalized populations.

In 2018 SoundMind Project began focusing exclusively on psychedelic medicine to heal wounds of Intergenerational Trauma, with an emphasis on indigenous reciprocity and populations holding the highest burdens of Intergenerational Trauma.

Our current nonprofit focus is on indigenous reciprocity to Tibetan refugees and centering these voices of wisdom. We hold so much gratitude for the practices that have been central in SoundMind Facilitator Trainings and also the entire American psychedelic movement since the 1960s.

We are studying how meditation practices can make better facilitators, and collaborating with Tibetan healers in Nepal to share information about healing trauma through psychedelics, including PTSD from forced refugee status - while our students learn from them about meditation practices and holding space.

Our other nonprofit projects include: group M**A treatment experiences for descendants of Holocaust survivors and using ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) for BIPOC populations in West Philadelphia with PTSD related to gun violence.
