Society Of Petroleum Engineers Cairo University Student Chapter, a very prolific chapter in terms of awards all over the world, and the first chapter in the Middle East. Our priority is investing in human capital, developing students and providing them with the needed skills to prove their worth in the real life work environment, and take long strides in their career. We aim to spread technical (p
etroleum) and non-technical knowledge, and create numerous opportunities for the students to seize, increasing their knowledge and skills. We also host immersive Study Groups in the petroleum field, and interactive Workshops in non-technical fields. Moreover, we organize technical conferences in the petroleum field, and non-technical events about entrepreneurship, project management, and other crucial skills. As a part of our community service, we organize projects such as Climate Change in order to counter the damages incurred by the environment, and spread awareness on how to be more environmentally-friendly. Another part of giving back to our society is the Juniors project, reaching out to High School students with the aim of developing their skills and widening their horizons of thought. Finally, we produce two magazines: technical and non-technical. Our technical magazine, Petroneers, has different articles in the Oil & Gas Field, as well as Interviews with reputable experts in the Petroleum Industry. Our non-technical magazine, Yozonia, it is the Youth Zone where you can find diverse articles exploring all aspects of our life in an interesting and engaging style of writing. We recruit members on a yearly basis, our recruitment usually opens in June, and all students are invited to apply. As for our Study Groups, Workshops, Sessions, Events, and Conferences, kindly stay tuned to our page and we will announce our upcoming activities.
