My mom told me something that stuck with me:
“Never teach a man how to be your man.”
Don't ask him to show you off, don't ask him to text you, don't ask him to care for you. Don't ask him to bring you flowers, don't ask him to plan dates, and don't beg for love. The right man will do anything and everything for you.
And the older I get, the more I realize how true those words really are📌
You should never have to guide a grown man on how to treat you with love, effort, or respect. A man who genuinely wants you will make it obvious, not by what he says, but by what he consistently does. He'll show up without being asked, he'll give effort without being reminded, and he'll make you feel chosen without forcing you to question your worth.
The right man won't make you feel like you're "asking for too much." He'll listen, he'll value you, he'll protect your peace, and he'll treat you like someone he's grateful to have in his life.
Because when a man truly cares, he doesn't wait to be taught, he naturally shows up, shows love, and shows effort.
So if you're reading this, just know:
You should never have to beg for the things that come naturally to the right person. Keep your heart open, but keep your standards firm. The one meant for you will meet them without hesitation📌
