MEET THE DIRECTORS | João Ducci

João Ducci is a dancer, choreographer, and Pilates instructor in Southern California. Born in Brazil and growing up in Los Angeles, he began his dance training at 18 at Santa Monica College. He also trained at Yuri Grigoriev School of Ballet on full scholarship and earned his double BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from the University of California, Irvine. João is in his second season as a company member with Backhausdance and has worked as a freelance dancer with Ballet Project OC, C. Eule Dance, and Fuse Dance Company. Currently teaching at Pilates on Main - Orange County, João was certified by Diane Diefenderfer – Studio du Corps and has served as Diane's assistant for her Teacher Training Program since 2020. João will return to his Alma Mater this fall to pursue his MFA in Dance.
