Detroit Gentlemen MC

Back in August, I had the unique opportunity to photograph one of the Detroit Gentlemen’s parties, where members from various motorcycle clubs gathered for an evening of socializing. It was an honor to capture a scene that is typically kept private. The deep-rooted connection between motorcycle clubs and Detroit is something I believe many would find intriguing.

As someone who has spent years photographing niche scenes throughout the city for a future book, I never anticipated documenting this fascinating story. For this project, I chose a documentary approach, shooting on a Minolta X-700 with TMAX P3200 B&W Film. My goal was to capture the atmosphere of the night and the character of the Detroit Gentlemen’s crew.
