Why I Gave Up on Social in 2023 (Personal Story)
Content Creation is a dangerous game…
You’re a slave to the platforms and work tirelessly to gain the approval of others.
Your work and sacrifice is hardly rewarded, but your emotional & mental health pay the ultimate price.
At least it was for me.
2023 was the second year I attempted to be consistent on social.
And it back fired into depression, anxiety and burn out.
I had laid down some very unrealistic expectations of myself – pushing my mental, physical and creativity to meet the social demands while trying to maintain multiple businesses and a family of 6.
I envied those who had made it, who were consistent, who got the results I wanted for myself.
Turns out, it wasn’t my time because there was still unfinished work left to do with myself and my businesses.
So I quit… cold turkey and looked within for the answers.
