Did you know that in Michigan, farmers who grow their own whole, uncut produce can sell it without a state food license?

We are actively seeking daily produce vendors, including small produce roadside stands for our Farmers Market at Godwin Mercado presented by UM Health-West. The Farmers Market runs on Sundays, now - October 25, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., and is closed on 9/6.

Vendor applications are now open for the BIPOC Night Markets on August 12 and September 23 from 6 - 9 p.m.!

These markets intentionally center around Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) owned and BIPOC-led businesses creating a space for our entrepreneurship, creativity, culture, and community to flourish together. The night market is an opportunity to celebrate local talent, build connections, share stories, and keep resources circulating within our communities.

Join us at the Farmers Market on Sunday, July 12 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. for Kids Day, in partnership with HOPE Gardens!

This event will feature various hands-on activities that promote gardening, healthy living, and support for local food. Each child that attends the event will be given a token to use at Godwin Mercado Farmers Market presented by UM Health-West!

Activities include:
- KDL Bookmobile story time at 11 a.m.
- free Generation POUND class with Fine Point Fitness at 1 p.m.
- Teddy Bear Clinic with UM Health-West (bring your favorite stuffie!)
- Guessing Game with Rivertown Credit Union
- Garden games

This family-friendly community event will feature live entertainment, local art, unique handmade goods, delicious food, and plenty of fun. We're looking for a variety of art vendors to help create an exciting and vibrant experience for attendees.
