As a first-generation college graduate who overcame homelessness, generational trauma, and systemic barriers, I hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University, a master’s from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies and Organizational Consulting from the University of San Diego. I also completed an executive program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. I’ve had the privilege of delivering powerful keynote messages to audiences ranging from students and educators to corporate executives—including an invitation to speak at the White House. My story of resilience has reached thousands across the country, inspiring people to rise above their past and lead with purpose. In addition to my professional work, I’m a former California school board president, an adjunct professor at Point Loma Nazarene University, and serve on several national boards, including the Trauma-Resilient Educational Communities (TREC) Advisory Board. My life’s work centers on helping people find strength through vulnerability, reconcile with their past, and rise into their highest potential.
