nd viewers alike were amused by the joy hop dance which was described by USA Today as a mix between the “Bunny Hop” and a “mime pretending to walk downstairs,” but it was the singer’s soulful, unique voice that earned her a trip to Hollywood. Although eventually eliminated from the competition, Altise’s appearance on the show gave her the opportunity to display her vocal talents on a national stage. Though most of America got to know Altise through their television set during her Idol experience in 2011, the North Carolina native and urban R&B singer has actually been recording and working with several well-known producers and emcees for the past several years. Most notably Altise has worked with producers Ski Beatz, Knottz Raw, Gav Beatz, and E. She also recently collaborated with Philadelphia-based rapper Beanie Sigel on a track entitled “Scorn.” Altise has also opened for several national recording artists, including the Franchise Boys. Currently, Altise is recording records for her upcoming mixtape “Moving In Silence,” scheduled for release at the end of 2012.
