Wrote a letter to Secretary Gilmore (DCF) requesting an investigation based on KJA's concerns of Regional Director Diane Bidwell and Andrea Dixon who is the director of Faithbuilders a non-profit organization and their misplaced friendship whereas Andrea Dixon org had morphed into making decisions on where children (especially children of color) would be placed in foster care homes or adoption. DCF started an investigation and evidently Diane Bidwell left and has been replaced by Bill Gale the new Regional Director for Wichita DCF. Advocated for a parent and a child who had been sexual molested while attending middle school. The teacher was given an option to resign by the District and no longer works for USD 259. Conducted and co-sponsored several community forums for elected officials who were running for office. Forums were conducted at the Northeast Senior Center, 2121 E. 21st N. (3) Candidates forum 9-20-13
6. Worked in collaboration with other groups to form "Community Capacity Builder's.' Purpose of this collaboration was to meet with stakeholders at the city, and the county to work together and become more proactive instead of reacting to community concerns. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Wichita State University, Hubbard Hall, Room 208, sponsored along with Molly Brigade, Women of Peace, and WSU Peace and War Group, showed the documentary film 'Koch Brothers Exposed, moderated by Dr. Darron Smith.
8. April, 2012 wrote a letter to the editor (Wichita Eagle) titled 'Repeal gun law; stop racial profiling.'

10. Co-sponsored an Old School Lawn Party as a fundraiser for The Historical Dunbar Theatre, Saturday, June 15, 2013.
11. KJA was recognized by Wichita State University as a Community Partner for bringing Janks Morton to show his documentary film titled 'Hoodwinked.' (2013)
12. Co-sponsored with other organizations the showing of 'The House I Live In', on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at the Murdoch Theatre.
13. KJA organized a peaceful rally for 'Justice for Trayvon Martin.' Trayvon Martin was an unarmed teenager murdered by a so-called community patrol George Zimmerman. The rally took place on both sides of Hillside, March 23, 2012.
14. KJA organized another rally after the not guilty verdict of George Zimmerman for the murder of Trayvon Martin, on 21st and Hillside (2013)
15. KJA has organized various meetings on a bi-monthly basis with Deputy Editors of the Wichita Eagle (John Boggert & Tom Shine) to discuss positive images of people of color printed as stories in the Eagle. Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the Eagle. Kansas Justice Advocate will continue to work in collaboration with other organizations to do workshops, and events to empower people with knowledge to use in order to enrich their lives.
