You’ve seen the transformation photos from projects like this - but what you don’t always see is the effort, problem solving, and attention to detail behind every part of it.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at the process: the work, the people, the unexpected moments, and everything that goes into bringing a space back to life.

One of the projects we’re most proud of. After remodeling the bathrooms for this church late last year, they trusted us again to take on a full atrium and hallway renovation.

Like every remodel, this project came with its share of unexpected challenges and problem solving along the way. It pushed our creativity, attention to detail, and ability to adapt, but that’s where good work happens.

By the end, the transformation was unbelievable! The atrium and hallway were completely unrecognizable, and the space finally felt welcoming and beautiful again.

I’ve installed a lot of shelves over the years… but this one, built alongside Steadfast Home Improvements LLC might be the best yet.

This 6-foot floating shelf was fully custom built, including a custom stain blend to perfectly match the existing trim carpentry throughout the building. Every detail mattered on this one.

Beyond looks, it was properly sealed and finished for long-term durability so it can hold up to years of daily use in this church while still looking just as good down the road. You won't find a shelf like this at a box store!

Whats happening here?

Most people mount the TV and stop there, leaving you with wires hanging down the wall.

An in-wall raceway fixes that.

With this TV mount add-on, we route everything behind the drywall so your setup looks clean and clutter free, no visible cords or distractions.

We typically don't do tree work or landscaping - but this homeowner needed a hand clearing some trees around his fishing pond, and it was the perfect opportunity to test the our new DeWalt 20V chainsaw.

Skepticism was replaced with a hearty dose of appreciation for the punch it packs after it made light work of at least 10 cuts this size.

If you need some small trees taken care of, we'll take any excuse to get back out there with the chainsaw!

Interior hollow-core doors can be particularly susceptible to water damage, as seen on this bathroom door. Even small leaks or high humidity can cause swelling, warping, or delamination, making replacement often the simplest fix for long-term reliability.

We recently gutted and refreshed this small, under-roof storage compartment. We were surprised to find that the original compartment floor was only decorative shiplap, which wouldn’t support the owner’s intended storage use, so we adapted the plans to include all-new base framing, then installed basic sheathing and trim for a functional, clean utility cabinet.

Storm damage doesn’t always have to mean replacement. We repaired this fence section and gate recently. The galvanized posts were solid, so with some repaired stringers and new hinges, the fence is back to being fully functional and looking great again without breaking the bank.

Sometimes, what's already there is all you need!

What's going on here?

When patching drywall where the joints don’t fall on factory-tapered edges, mudding and taping directly over a flat seam might seem fine - but poor adhesion and the unforgivingly flat surface often create a noticeable bump and can lead to cracks later.

Rounding the edges with a utility knife creates a better surface for the first coat of mud, ensuring a smooth, seamless repair that blends perfectly with the surrounding wall.

This is the level of care FastFix always goes the extra mile for -making sure your home is treated right, every time.
