On June 22, 2026, Wichita Public Schools Board of Education member Ngoc Vuong resigned from his position, effective immediately.
We thank Mr. Vuong for his service and leadership on the Wichita Board of Education and appreciate his contributions to our students, staff, and community. We wish him the very best as he pursues new professional opportunities outside the Wichita community.
Mr. Vuong made history as the youngest and the first Asian American elected to serve on the Wichita Public Schools Board of Education, and his leadership reflects the strength and diversity of our community.
No timeline on a replacement has been identified at this time.
