The pallet market in the U.S. estimated $11-13 BN. With low startup cost it is an excellent business to do Part Time or Full Time.

So how do I get started?
Typically all you need is the ability to lift 30-40 lbs and have a source to transport the pallets.

Do I need to purchase any equipment?
Yes, the most important item in this business is safety. You need tie-down straps to secure the pallets that you will be transporting is a safe manor. Gloves and steel toe boots are recommended.

I have seen people carry a lot of pallets in their truck and it looks like they are going to tip over?
Yes, you will see people transporting pallets this way. However all it will talk in one time for an incident to happen and you may be on the hook for a lawsuit. Plus most standard pickups are not designed to hold a massive amount of weight. Continued overloading your truck will result in damaging your shocks, suspension system, and risking a blowout or accident.

What can I expect to earn per pallet?
Well a lot depends on the area you live in and the demand for the type of pallet. It could be as low ass 25 cents to over $3.00 per pallet. The majority of the type of pallet that pallet recyclers (the people who will buy used pallets) are GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) 48”x40” size pallets. There are multiple type of pallets raging small to large but the GMA pallets is the standard size in the pallet industry.
