Words....

Words are powerful, and language is my thing. Every since a young girl I was encouraged to seek out what words mean.

To express yourself freely, words take on a being. In most moments of silence words have no meaning.

Words when consumed can feed a soul. Words when spoken can make that same soul whole.

Words can be vicious even when uttered in truth with a bite. Words can be a deadly venom spewing resentment and spite.

Like a fire in the night words can keep you warm. In a place of darkness words can leave scars of concern.

Trauma manifest in words and so does happiness. Triumph is celebrated in words by expressing your vulnerable sentiments.

Your demise possess words that can create sound for decades. When I use words I am careful of their power and the choice it escalates.

I compose language with paper and pen. The purpose of artistry is to touch deep within.
Hopes to spark something like resiliency and strength that you can grow deep in.

The words I speak make up my skin. If they were written on my body you would read what shines in melanin.

Words of struggle and pain, rejoice through rebirth. I write an energetic story full of color bright and dark hues that graces earth.

Testimonies of lessons learned and the choice of mistakes I write my truth. My words are sometime imperfect and I realize that you have the choice in how they resonate with you.

My journey is already written and my words illustrate its existence. Words are powerful and language is my thing. Walk with me as I get naked in the words that I choose.
