Daniel Treier (1972–2025): A Theological Life Dan’s chief concern was his relationship with his Savior. An evangelical theologian to the core, he knew that the goal of life is communion with God.

I've been mostly offline for several weeks, and it's because I have no words. Thanks to Carmen Imes for an amazing tribute to an incredible friend and colleague. We will miss him in so many ways.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Todd Wilson will be joining us as Senior Fellow of Scripture, Ministry, and Leadership and as the new program director for our M.A. in Leadership.

Todd brings a rare combination of pastoral, scholarly, and executive leadership experience to this new role, having served as a senior pastor, nonprofit founder, university vice president, and executive coach. We're excited to have him on board and looking forward to seeing how God will use him in this new role.

More exciting news!!! We are delighted to announce that Dr. Kevin J. Vanhoozer is joining Wheaton College’s Litfin Divinity School as the Blanchard Professor of Systematic Theology.

Dr. Vanhoozer is recognized worldwide for his pioneering work in theological interpretation and hermeneutics. His more than 20 books—including The Drama of Doctrine and Faith Speaking Understanding—have shaped pastors, scholars, and students across the globe.

This appointment is also a homecoming: Dr. Vanhoozer previously taught at Wheaton (2009–2012), and we are honored to welcome him back. His presence strengthens our mission to form the next generation of theological leaders with wisdom, creativity, and faithfulness.

Exciting news! We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Michelle Knight as Associate Professor of Old Testament in the Wheaton College Litfin Divinity School.

Dr. Knight is a gifted teacher, mentor, and scholar with expertise in biblical theology, narrative criticism, and the Former Prophets. She’ll be teaching in our MA and PhD programs and supervising doctoral students.

Final numbers are in, and enrollment in the Litfin Divinity School is up 14% so far this year and nearly 30% over the last three years!

But that's only exciting because these numbers represent pastors, ministry leaders, and scholars who are responding to God’s call to be equipped for faithful service in the church and the world.

At time when many theological schools face real challenges, this growth is a reminder of the ongoing need for theological depth and practical wisdom, and of the vibrant community of faculty, students, and alumni who make the Litfin Divinity School such a special place.

We’re excited to continue investing in leaders who will serve the gospel with clarity, courage, and compassion.
