Wheaton Swing Club

dent became vice president of the newly formed and first ever dance club, Wheaton College Swing Club. Club attendance skyrocketed and although all club activity was transparent to administration, the feeling of being an ‘underground movement’ prevailed among club members. A community was built around the East Coast Swing Dance scene, utilizing the colors of red, black, and white to enhance the unique culture that flourished late on Tuesday nights in Coray Gymnasium. Students on the cabinet not only organize club events and finances but also teach one lesson every week, both for beginners and advanced, and set the vision for the culture and community Swing Club has fostered.
