Contract Specialist, Butler County Engineer’s Office, Hamilton, OH (Salary: $42,000 - $75,000).
Incumbent is under the general direction and supervision of the Construction Manager and the Construction Deputy. Major duties include creating, implementing, and managing BCEO contracts on County and Township construction, subdivisions and storm water projects. Implements and oversees the preparation and administration of construction and material contracts. Oversees and implements the preparation of Contracts / Proposals assuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with ODOT – CMS, LPA or OPWC, ORC, and other regulating agencies. Act as BCEO Liaison to consult with the Butler County Prosecutors Office to assure that all Contracts / Proposals are in compliance accordingly.
Qualifications: A valid Ohio Driver’s License with less than six (6) points is required. Must have a high school diploma and a technical degree, other training, or experience in a construction related / contract management field. Must have good computer skills and be familiar with Construction Management / Accounting programs. Must be familiar with basic Contract Law, must be familiar with the Ohio Department of Transportation manual of Construction and Material Specification (ODOT Spec Book), BCEO Subdivision Standards, Access Management Manual or other applicable standards.

Environmental Technician, City of Lebanon, OH (Starting $22.00 to $30.00 hourly).
The City of Lebanon is accepting applications for the position of Environmental Technician in the Public Works Department, Water Distribution and Sewer Collections Division. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated team player. The primary areas of responsibility will include maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs to the water distribution system as well as storm and sanitary sewer collection systems. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in all weather conditions. Candidates must also be available for emergency response outside of the regular working schedule.
Qualifications: Applicants must be 18 years of age, display excellent written and verbal communication skills and possess an Ohio-Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with air brake and tanker endorsements or be able to obtain one within 9 months of hire. Ohio EPA certification in water distribution and/or or sewer collection is encouraged within three years of placement into the position with an hourly wage increase possible per license.
