Tomorrow, Ontario education staff will strike until further notice. The Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), says that despite the legislation that makes striking illegal in this circumstance (which will soon be passed), it’s workers will not return until a deal is reached between them and the government. The CUPE is arguing for an 11.7% pay increase, which currently stands at 2.5%.
