As a business owner, what happens if I don’t forward my employees’ payroll taxes to the federal government?

If you’re a small business owner with employees, it’s critical to understand your responsibility when it comes to payroll taxes; especially those reported on IRS Form 941.

According to the IRS, Form 941 is used to report federal income tax, Social Security, and Medicare taxes withheld from employees’ paychecks, along with the employer’s share of those taxes.
