We’re so proud of Aiden and Cali for representing Waterloo FFA at the National FFA Washington Leadership Conference! Their commitment to leadership is a great reflection of our chapter and community. We can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make as they bring these experiences and ideas back to Waterloo. Go Bulldogs!

In his graduation speech, Mr. McDermott reminded us that while the three goods (grades, attendance, & behavior) all matter, being a good person matters even more. We are incredibly proud of junior Raelynn Patterson for honoring Elsie’s memory through such a thoughtful act of kindness. This is the kind of character that makes WHS such a special place. Go Bulldogs!

Two months ago, our community lost a very special young girl, Elsie Wiemerslage, after her courageous battle with leukemia. Elsie loved animals and was a fan of Helping Strays, touching the hearts of so many during her short but meaningful life. We have received many generous donations in her memorial.

Elsie's friend Raelynn Patterson was another example of finding a beautiful way to honor her memory. After performing a music gig, Raelynn donated all of her tips to Helping Strays - because she knew how much Elsie cared about helping homeless animals.

Yesterday Raelynn stopped by the shelter to deliver her donation, and we couldn't be more grateful for her kindness and generosity. ❤️ She's shown here in front of one of our adoptable cats.
