Four friends headed down to Homer for a fishing trip and needed a last minute stay. Driftwood Dreams provided space for them all to spread out and get a good night’s sleep before their early call on their fishing charter.

You may not think of a food tour when going to Homer, But hey, isn’t good food a great addition to any day? Here is our quick Homer food tour, Live Local AK style.
Start your morning at Two Sisters Bakery — a Homer favorite for breakfast, lunch, coffee, and treats. Just plan ahead: they’re closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. LLAK tip: walk here from your stay at Tidepool Treasures and then head down to Bishop’s beach to walk off your breakfast.
You’ll probably be heading down to the Homer Spit for the day so plan your lunch down there. We recommend either la baleine cafe or Captain Patties.
la Baleine Café, where the menu leans into fresh, organic, and local ingredients. They’re closed Monday and Tuesday.
For the biggest meal of the day, we like Captain Pattie’s on the Spit. When we’re traveling, we’re big fans of a hearty lunch and a lighter dinner — especially when fresh Alaska seafood is involved.
Then finish the day at Grace Ridge Brewing with a local beer and dessert from the Dolce Lucca ice cream truck.
Breakfast, bakery treats, seafood, local beer, and ice cream? That’s a pretty solid Homer day.
