To everybody who supported Unleashed DC’s 2026 Pride Weekend — thank you.
This year’s theme, Welcome to Chocolate City, was our ode to the DC Black le***an and q***r community, along with everyone who travels into the city each year to be a part of our culture, our history, and our Pride celebration. As one of the most populated q***r cities in the world, it’s so important for us to celebrate us with us — while also welcoming in the people who come to experience the energy, community, and magic that makes DC Black Pride so special.
And even with so many parties and events happening across the city all weekend long, y’all still chose to show up for us. Y’all packed out every single venue, filled every dance floor, bought out sections, stayed outside with us all weekend, and showed us an incredible amount of love and support from Thursday all the way through Sunday night.
We also want to thank everybody for the feedback, the patience, and the continued support throughout such a fast-moving weekend. We genuinely take all of it in and are already thinking through ways to make next year even bigger, smoother, and better.
