"This is Dan marks I I just want to jump in here real quick too because, I think this is a great discussion and seems like we're making some progress, but it does seem to kind of be a little after the fact because you had mentioned that this has to go through the Judiciary Committee which it has and and the chairman Bob Goodlotte has signed off on each one of those applications that's now online for public viewing um through the the clerk's website and now there are 37 States indisputably applying for a convention when it only takes 34 states to do that. Yes there are some other applications that have been rescinded in addition to that which are disputable as to whether they would count or not, but it is clear right now that there are 37 states without any recissions on those applications. I have been posting these applications online as they come into the to the house and they're put online um you know counting them up at now that we're at 37 States I have people asking me why didn't they do it when it was 34 and you know as this gets out into the general public people are going to start examining you know are we going to wait until it actually gets up to 41 because that that's kind of where we're headed at a very fast clip here and then beyond that you know if they do uh if we do get a convention call here they're also going to say was there some some flurry of activity coming from state legislator recently and there wasn't it's just because this has never been counted before and the situation is pretty extraordinary considering the length of time that we've had to prepare for this the fact that that we're now beyond that threshold that two-thirds threshold and we're still trying to figure out how to cope with this I mean it does seem like you know there are some rules there and you can interpret them to the letter, but this is an extraordinary C situation and if Jared is to stand up on the floor and make a motion to to speed things up a little bit under the circumstances I would think that that would be perfectly acceptable and and ultimately if anybody objects they would go to you and and ask for you to kind of sort that out and would would he if he makes a motion to acknowledge the 37 states that are clearly on on that that website and enter that into the to the record um in order to you know create a response from Congress would that be considered something that would be out of order ?"
