This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Fellowship Program, ICANN's oldest global capacity-development program. Launched in 2007 at ICANN29 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Fellowship Program was created to provide a gateway for individuals from underserved and underrepresented communities from around the world to become active members of the ICANN community.
Many BC members started their journey with ICANN as fellows and are invaluable members of the ICANN community.

In the first quarter of 2022, APWG observed 1,025,968 total phishing attacks. This was the worst quarter for phishing that APWG has ever observed, and the first time that the quarterly total has exceeded one million.

“Phishing attacks are on the rise”. This is the underlying theme of the 2021 IC3 Annual Report released by FBI.
The report states that “the number of complaints related to "Phishing/Vishing/Smishing/Pharming" have been steadily increasing for the last 5 years with an increase of 25% in complaints between 2020 and 2021”

One of the established priorities for BC is “decreasing the incidence of DNS abuse” and we are very excited with the launch of Centralized DNS Abuse Reporting Service by DNS Abuse Institute.
This service will make it easier for users to report DNS abuse and for registries and registrars to process reports.
