It's awards season! I'm so happy to announce some big wins! "I Am..." and "Your Brain On..." for AARP Staying Sharp took home SIX Platinum Hermes Creative Awards for Best Series, Editing (x 2), Directing, Cinematography and Best Science/Informational Series. The "I Am..." Series was also named a Webby Honoree! All our work is a labor of love, but these two series, made during the height of the tumult of 2020, somehow absorbed all our creativity and heart. Very special thanks to all of you who poured so much energy into these productions, and to AARP for the opportunity and trust.

This is MY brain on Gratitude! The "Your Brain On..." series I wrote and directed for AARP Staying Sharp won "Best In Show" for Editorial in The w3 Awards! I knew editors, Doug Hanback and John Ayala did an exceptional job, and the judges concurred. Of the hundreds of entries, only 25 got the Best in Show honor, and of those, only 5 were video projects. Our small but mighty team, led by the intrepid Cat Eye Productions team of Rachel Holmes and Lynda Meier, was right up there with Google Home, Lenovo Singapore, and UPS! Whaat! We're globally good, baby. I am so proud of everyone who had a part in the production of this now multiple-award winning series, that also took a Silver W3 for Cinematography...go Christoph Green!! While we're at it, we wrangled a Silver W3 in Branded Entertainment for "The Smarties" series, also for AARP Staying Sharp, that was produced, edited and animated by the super team at Interface Media Group! A very good day at the office. ❤️📷😎🥂

I've been very fortunate in my career. This has never been more evident than now, when the world has been upside down for so many. I'm beyond lucky to be working with a talented, creative group of professionals. This past week has been filled with great news of industry recognition for the work we have all done. I'm proud to say that projects I've produced, written and directed have been awarded two Platinum and one Gold Hermes Creative Awards and one Silver Telly for AARP and Planned Parenthood. Special thanks to Cat Eye Productions and AARP Studios for trusting me to tell your stories.
