It's not often I get a good Old Fashioned when I'm out and about... but when I do, I take a pic π.
The bartender crafted this with (Happy Black History Month βπ½β€βπΎπβπΏπ€), a raw sugar cube, orange bitters, and flamed orange rind. It's garnished with a single luxardo cherry.

Top 5 things to stop saying to your bartender in 2020:
1. "Smile."
The bar is not a pageant.
2. :Make it strong."
(Also see: "hook me up and make it good") Order a double if u want more liquor, order a short if u want less mix.
3. "Light ice."
See note above. Light ice will not make your drink stronger, but weaker. Light ice=more mix.
SIDE NOTE: A balanced mixed drink shouldn't taste like liquor. Drinks are made to mask the taste of liquor. Order liquor neat, up or on the rocks if you love the taste of straight liquor.
4. "You deserve a raise."
In most instances, your bartender's salary is solely dependent on your tip. If we deserve a raise, it's your responsibility to give it to us. Also, verbal tips, positive reviews and compliments are great, but they dont pay bills.
5. "So what's your real job?"
Ummm... what's a fake job? The restaurant (service) industry is a $800 billion+/year industry. Real money= real job.
Honorable mention, "what are you doing when you get off?"
Ew... just ew.
