This weekend, I was able to surprise displaced families from Kipnuk and Kwigillingok with some traditional subsistence foods—Canada goose eggs, as well as two types of gull eggs. Thank you to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service for making it possible to share a taste of home with those who are missing it.
