Beginning Feb 3rd, 2025, VESL will begin showing Highly Migratory Species (HMS) required fields for any trip that reports catching HMS species. This change makes VESL approved for use for SEFHIER and HMS Programs. Only one logbook submission for a trip is required to comply with both programs.

The application will prompt the user to answer the HMS required questions when appropriate. The required fields will depend on species and disposition, and could include tag number, weight, grade, length, quality, tournament attended, hook and fight time, gear and bait used.
