The University of Miami Athletic Training Program is sad to share this news. We wish Jhanae’s loved ones and our USF AT family peace and comfort during this difficult time.
We share the following with heavy hearts and great sadness. Jhanae Ingraham, a member of the USF Athletic Training Program Class of 2021, passed away in a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, June 24th. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Nae’s family and friends.
Jhanae was a graduate of USF in 2018 with a B.S. degree in Health Sciences. Recently she was recognized for her demonstrated leadership and service initiatives as a recipient of the Kennedy Family Scholarship and served as Fundraising Chair of the Athletic Training Student Association. She was a valuable member of our program, a true leader amongst her peers, and loved by all those she interacted with. Her smile lit up the room and had aspirations to contribute to education and research in diverse patient populations. We are heartbroken as a program about this sudden loss and understand how difficult this news can be to absorb.
To all our students, preceptors, and friends, this is a time to come together, to grieve, and to support each other. Information about a remembrance service will be shared as it becomes available.

Had fun teaching the lumbar plexus today.
Just some life savers, twizzlers, and play-dough.
Congrats to Juan Montoya for being a finalist for the prestigious Edward T. Foote II Award for Excellence in Student Leadership, an annual award that recognizes one outstanding undergraduate senior at the University of Miami who has best demonstrated exemplary involvement, leadership, and achievement in his or her college experience.
