It's almost National Cheese Day (June 4) and we want to take a moment to celebrate all things cheese with our in-house, expert Cheesemonger, Kara of .
Kara will be introducing three new cheeses to the menu this month, so make sure to check out the new additions (and stay tuned for cheese introduction videos too).
But first, Kara is training for the "Cheese Olympics" and she's giving you even more of an excuse to eat cheese.

Good morning DC! We're open today a few extra hours, since tomorrow is a holiday and many of you are enjoying a long weekend.
Ben has a few new beers for you to sip, and Chef has some new food specials (but don't worry, the lamb lollipops, wings and pretzels never disappear...unless it's off your plate).
We'll be open from 12-9 today with the kitchen closing at 8. We look forward to spending some more time with our guests and H Street neighbors.
Enjoy the slightly less rainy day and pop into your favorite third place.
This may not be the weather you wanted or envisioned for your memorial day weekend plans, and that's a bummer.ย
We wish we could change the weather for you all, but we can give you some good news.ย
Good news:
1. We are tapping a brand new beer today.
Ben brewed a Kveik IPA. What is a Kveik IPA? Read further ๐
2. Our Sunday hours are extended this weekend for the holiday. 12-9pm for the bar (kitchen closes at 8).
3. Ben has released a new beer for the last 4 Fridays in a row, so if you haven't been by in aย while (we won't judge you, we know life is lifing too much sometimes), you have soooo many new beers to try.ย
4. We have an incredibly relaxing, warm, dare we say kind of sexy? MCM space to make you feel like you are on vacation. Escape to each space in Henceforth if you are staycationing.ย
(Bonus, we still have our anniversary month special going on through the end of the month).ย
We can't change the meh weather, but we can definitely lift your mood with beer, delicious food and wine and above all, the grooviest vibes on the block.ย
Kveik IPA? What's that?ย
Kveik is a traditional strain of Norwegian yeast that thrives in higher temperatures. And the resulting tastes give strong tropical fruit and citrusy notes. So, if you can't be on a beach this weekend, you can at least drink a beer that tricks you into thinking you are. ๐๐๏ธ๐
The 6% abv IPA was fermented with Kveik yeast at higher than usual temperatures. Yeast derived esters and added terpines give big citrus/orange forward flavor and aroma. Come have a glass of tropical weather this weekend.ย
