Saving Grace Rescue

This is a hard post for me to write but such a happy one at the same time! Reese and Fly’s trial with Trails of Purpose has come to an end and both horses have officially been adopted and added into their veteran therapy program! 🎉

If you’ve been here long enough you know Reese is our OG girl. The reason we started this rescue and the reason we continue to advocate for the ethical treatment of horses! So to know I can’t walk out and get some of her snuggles whenever I want is definitely bittersweet. But to see videos of her walking beside people in wheelchairs and knowing she’s touching lives that need her more than I do, reminds me this is exactly what I want for her. She’s built herself a fan club over there already and if you know Reese, she is the absolute queen and adores all of that attention! 👑

And then there is our Fly boy. His giant personality always steals the show and hearts so it’s no surprise at all that he too eats up the attention he gets at Trails of Purpose! The farm is different without them here but we are so happy that they found a home they can continue to thrive in and help others at the same time.
