Gateway Rescue Mission was founded by Captain Len Martin of the Jackson Fire Department in 1948. Captain Martin was compelled to help the homeless, and Gateway Rescue Mission remains faithful to the charge to this day. Big thanks to the Hederman Brothers team for coming out today and helping us serve lunch! These guys didn't have to be here — but they were, gloves and all. That's just the kind of folks they are.

Yesterday was a perfect reminder that serving together strengthens our whole community.
We’re so thankful for the team from Select Specialty Hospital - Belhaven who came alongside us to help serve lunch to our guests yesterday. More than a meal was shared. They served up healthy portions of kindness, conversation, encouragement, and compassion as well.
It means so much when people take time out of their day to love on their neighbors and we’re grateful for partners who serve with such joy and humility.
