It's all about quality of technique and quality of training.
Too bad Judo doesn't work with no Gi. HAHAHAHAHA! Okay. That's only said by those who don't know.
This is me and Mr French working flow throwing with no-Gi during a private lesson. Mr French is a solid 60lbs heavier than me. Yeah, throwing not a problem.
90% of the techniques I teach and train work without the Gi. This is what makes us so different than your typical Sport Judo oriented school.
I work no-Gi all of the time when working with Police, Fire, and EMS professionals. Because we are more Self-Defense oriented, it's no big deal for us.
We work stand, ground, weapon defense, striking integration, and multiple attackers.
To be fair... most of today's Judo is very heavily Gi dependent because it's geared towards Judo competition, hence why I use the term "Sport Judo" when describing other schools.
We learn and practice Judo as it was originally intended. As a complete grappling system that is a Martial Art designed for effective Self-Defense in a wide range of situations (stand, ground, multiple attackers, defense against striking and weapons).
If you are wanting to learn Judo in a safe, clean, professional entertainment, then you have to come and see me.

Job number one. Be the best father I can.
I know I haven't been posting as much lately. I have been so overwhelmed with Law Enforcement training, Private Lessons, and Dojo management.
Yesterday morning, eating breakfast, and being so mentally and physically exhausted, my daughter said, "Dad. You need a hug.". She hugs me all the time, but really just needed it. We hugged for about a minute or two.
Shortly after, a customer at the same restaurant came up to me and asked me to launch the camera on my phone, then asked us to hug each other just like we were minutes before, but asked us to look at the camera. They wanted us to have a picture of the moment and said, "Keep doing what you're doing. It's beautiful."
What a touching moment.
I'm posting this here because before I'm a Judo instructor (Sensei), I'm a father to 2 awesome kids. A single father working my butt off to do what I can in such a short precious amount of time they are kids.
Both of my kids actively practice with me in class, though they receive no special treatment. They LOVE Judo.
I couldn't be more happy to have them.
