Congratulations to Ana Diaz, recipient of the Multicultural Roots Project!

Shaped by a challenging upbringing in Roseland, Ana grew up in a close-knit community where survival often came before opportunity, fueling her deep commitment to giving back. As the first Latina president of the Roseland School District board, she advocates for parent engagement, education equity, and community empowerment through programs and leadership roles. Guided by resilience, personal struggles, and a dedication to service, Ana continues to uplift her community through mentorship, advocacy, and volunteer work

Her inspiring story is featured in Santa Rosa’s Multicultural Roots Project, which honors the contributions of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color who have helped shape our community in Santa Rosa.
