This page is an affiliate page of the rescue Fred's Friends (located in Northern California), which only takes in cleft palate/lip puppies. He was barely 1lb, had a cleft lip with a partial cleft palate, staph infection, entropion and possible hydrocephalus. He has since grown into an incredibly handsome, loving boy. He has become an advocate for cleft palate puppies and started Fred's Friends on their journey of rescuing these special puppies.
PABLO 💙 (aka Sir Screams-a-Lot, aka The Menace, aka Tiny Overlord)
Pablo came to me just a few hours old with his sister. Sadly we lost her within a few days … but this boy? He said “not today” and has been making up for it ever since.
He is THRIVING.
Cleft lip only — which means now that he’s weaned, he eats on his own, drinks on his own, and somehow still finds the energy to argue with me about literally everything.
This kid has OPINIONS.
He TALKS BACK.
He has decided he runs this house.
And honestly? He might be right.
He’s a fluffy little gremlin, a full-functioning chaos machine, and the definition of “started from the bottom now we’re here.” Watching him go from fragile newborn to this loud, spicy, thriving menace has been everything 🥹
BUT—real life rescue check ✋
We are STRUGGLING over here in the supply department. Like… “staring at the last bag of formula and doing math I don’t like” struggling 😅
We are currently in need of:
• Puppy formula (down to the LAST bag 😬)
• Puppy food
• Laundry detergent (because these puppies are committed to chaos and I am committed to washing everything 47 times a day)
• Feeding tubes

Also — I know I’ve been a little MIA. Life has been a mix of many hours of work + puppies + absolute chaos behind the scenes. But I promise I’m going to start posting more of the babies we currently have over the next few days, because there are some VERY good little nuggets you need to meet.

This tiny man has grown SO much in just a few weeks it’s honestly disrespectful. Stronger every day. Thriving. Out here beating the odds while looking like a lint roller commercial.

He does, however, need to be told he’s perfect at least 63 times daily.
The floof? Unstable.
The progress? Elite.
